Someone who knows the good things when they see them, and builds a life that holds them. Who notices detail, keeps their own standards, and does not wait for permission to enjoy what they have made.
Formula Haus is fragrance built for that life. Warm, lasting, full of atmosphere, and made to meet you at the pace of the days you are actually living.
The Founder
Where the idea
was born.
Formula Haus is led by Shaunette Stokes, who has always made things with her hands, and with intention.
Before there was a fragrance house, there were gift boxes. She built them for her clients, filling them with things made by hand, because that was how she showed care.
She had always made her own body and scented products, blending them quietly for years. During the isolation of 2020, that practice deepened. She made more, for herself and for family, working out formulas and layering scents the way she approached everything else in her life: intentionally, without shortcuts.
What she made for herself started reaching further. Family shared it with friends. Friends shared it with theirs. And the people around her kept saying the same thing: you should share this with the world.
The care she put into gifting and the craft she'd been building in private came together. One became a house.
Fifteen months before the doors openedNo store. No announcement. Just formulas, refinement, and the slow work of figuring out exactly what this house would be. By the time it opened to the public, it was ready. Not perfect, but reflective of her, at the time, in the way a first collection always is. And like her, it has kept growing since.
Formula Haus fragrances are not simply blended. They are directed. Each one is developed through careful layering and refinement to sit close, evolve slowly, and leave an impression without noise.
What began as weekend creations for the people she loved has grown into a disciplined creative practice, grounded in taste, restraint, and a commitment to building something that lasts. She made the first one for herself. The Haus grew from there.

You are not one note. Some days you are soft, some days you are sharp, some days you are the warmest thing in the room. Each scent is built around a feeling and an identity, so you can reach for the version of yourself that is real that day. Not indecisive. Plural.
Built One Arrival at a Time
We treat fragrance the way a fashion house treats a collection: each scent arrives inside a larger story and becomes part of the wardrobe, so it grows the way a real one does, piece by piece, on purpose.
Slowly, and on Purpose
Every fragrance is blended by hand in small batches and released deliberately. We make what we can make well, and we would rather you wait for something finished than receive something rushed.
