For years, founder Shaunette Stokes blended whipped shea butters in her kitchen, gifting them to friends and family just because. What started as simple body care soon became an obsession with crafting oils — layering notes, studying ingredients, chasing the perfect texture and scent. That rabbit hole led her to the art of perfumery, where creativity meets chemistry.
It wasn’t long before she was deep in the world of fragrances, falling in love with the way a scent could hold space for softness, power, memory, and magic — all at once. From body oils and candles to full-bodied perfumes, Shaunette immersed herself in the art of crafting scent-driven rituals that felt just as beautiful as they smelled. As a self-taught indie perfumer, she approaches fragrance the way a poet approaches the page — with reverence, curiosity, and a desire to move something in you.
She’s been blending oils, whipping butters, and layering scents long before she knew the word accord. What began as weekend creations for her loved ones evolved into an immersive, deeply personal practice — one that continues to expand with every formula.
Though she’s now the founder of a growing fragrance house, Shaunette still considers herself a perpetual student of scent — always studying, experimenting, and refining. To her, perfumery is a living language: one that speaks in memory, identity, and emotion. Every drop she creates is part of an ongoing conversation between craft, culture, and legacy.

Alongside her creative journey, Shaunette is also a business strategist and attorney who has spent over a decade helping entrepreneurs protect their ideas. She’s seen too many visionaries lose what they’ve built — not because they weren’t talented, but because they weren’t informed or resourced. That’s why a portion of proceeds from the Founder’s Trio™ collection, go directly into the Founder’s Formula Collective™ — a community that provides grants, business education, and support to emerging founders.

Shaunette is a proud graduate of Florida A&M University (FAMU) and North Carolina Central University School of Law (NCCU) — two Historically Black Colleges that shaped her belief in legacy, culture, and excellence without apology. She brings that same pride into every drop she formulates.
